The basic premise behind the market for salvage cars for sale is that, as long as the damaged car is not deemed to be scrap, there are takers for it.
For instance, used car dealers could buy salvaged cars for sale from an Insurance company at a rock-bottom price and then rebuild by spending on repairs to sell with a decent profit margin. Perhaps the buyer needs to note that these cars may not carry with it any kind of liability from the dealer, such as warranty on spares etc.
